Role of Synbiotics in Thrombotic Disorders
摘要
Coagulopathies disorder may include hemorrhage caused by a raptured blood vessel, thrombosis, caused by blockage of such vessels and embolism, which is basically obstruction of blood flow, all which represent the most pronounced clinical symptom of hematological disease. Normally, blood loss is majorly controlled by a fibrin clot formation, which is initiated by platelets formation, presence of plasma proteins (PP), and remodification of the vessel wall. Thrombotic disorder can be triggered by several factors, which include long travel leading to immobility, immobility due to injury sustained, pregnancy, surgery, and trauma. However, acquired risk factors and presence of undelaying disease like cancer, obesity, and hormone treatment has all been found to contribute to the onset of thrombosis. Some functional foods have been directly prescribed or suggested to reduce the risk factors associated with thrombotic disorders. Cardiovascular diseases are biochemically known to be characterized with aggravated serum, cholesterol, lipids, and increased production blood platelet. In this chapter the role of probiotics and prebiotics in the treatment of thrombotic disorder have been discussed.
