摘要

The daily demand for functional foods offering nutrition and health benefits is increasing exponentially. On human health, the combination of prebiotics and probiotics has shown significant effects. Synbiotics are beneficial for treating diseases and ailments. In moderation of natural healthcare products by technology, synbiotics offer and open a new dynamic prospect in healthcare by sustainably restoring and balancing human health with modulation of human biostructure. Through additive, complementary, and synergistic effects, synbiotics form practically immeasurable possibilities. Synbiotic products continue to face many challenges. In terms of quality and safety, sometimes the synbiotics are the least sight-seen products in research and regulatory standards. Regulations related to synbiotic products vary from country to country. Before being marketed in the market, synbiotic products need to meet country-specific safety and labeling regulatory requirements. In this current chapter, the authors highlight the current various regulatory aspects of synbiotic-based products associated with human health.
