Areas to focus on: gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer (with or without underlying Helicobacter pylori infection, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) or steroids use, or stress), functional dyspepsia, or referred pain (cardiac or cholelithiasis).
