Study on Single-Track, Multi-track and Multi-layer Manufacturing

The performance of parts manufactured by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) is largely based on the line surface body manufacturing method and the single-track and single-layer manufacturing quality of materials. The defects formed on the single-track directly affect the manufacturing quality of the single-layer. This defect point will also accumulate during the next layer of laser scanning. When the defect is not eliminated, it will form an internal defect in the part. Therefore, this section will introduce the basis and control of LPBF single-track manufacturing.
