Upper Bounds of Worldwide Infected Cases Due to COVID-19 from the Perspective of Bitopology

The outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is now the concern of worldwide public health emergency. Epidemic modelling is found to be the most useful tool in the case of any epidemic. Most of the epidemic models use generalizations of the classical SIR (susceptibility–infection–recovery) model or time series models to determine factors like infection rate, recovery rate, etc. In most cases, predictions are found to be approximately correct. Psychology says that people behave with a risk-taking strategy in a mortality frame. Thus, this chapter contributes the methodologies to find the upper bounds for newly reported COVID-19 infected cases worldwide with the help of bitopological ideas. The WHO data on infected cases of COVID-19 are considered to prove the theoretical claims of this paper in terms of real scenarios of COVID-19.
