Not many books on higher mathematics include the topic of stochastic processes. The authors take pleasure in including it in this book since stochastic processes contain many probabilistic models of real-world applications of mathematics such as queueing models that are used in most day-to-day decision making in business and economics. Thus, the chapter has included Markov chain and Brownian motion.
