This practice gesturesGesture toward a way of thinking with the potentialPotential of AND, as an in-betweenIn-between space, to contemplate with how a/r/tography, as a practice-basedPracticepractice-based methodology, puts forward a consideration for notions such as co-existence, multiplicity, in-tentionality, and the not yetNot yet. Here, the author, as a walker and artist and researcher and teacher, introduces the term ‘oxidizing method’ as a way to document the tracesTrace of her walks in materialMaterial and immaterialImmaterial forms. The oxidizing method is offered as an artful and conceptual way of being in the world, as well as a pathPath toward engaging with the ephemeralEphemeral pedagogical openings that often escape becoming known and being named. This approach brings about an appreciation for learning poetically and critically in processProcess, movementMovemovement, uncertaintyUncertain/uncertainties, and slippage. It brings attention to an in-tentional call for slowly coming to know meanings that become manifested through the accumulation of multiple layers of thoughts and the entanglement of text and images.
