摘要
The authors of this chapter study the use of digital media in artArt educationEducation in their Ph.D. projects. While Heidi examines how digital elements can be used in museum educational practicesEducationeducational practice and in the context of abstract artArt, Anne explores what happens if we move the focus from users to producers in the digital space in the subject of artsArt and craftsCraft in primary school. In this chapter, we challenge our understandings about the digital space by taking digital a/r/tography walks together. We see the aestheticsAesthetic of the digital space in the light of Michel Foucault’s writingsWriting about the geometrical aestheticsAesthetic and order born in the industrialIndustrial era. We start to break the universe of squares and the rigid linearity by concrete experiments. The multiple failures in the digital space, such as crashing systems, become an integral part of our experiencesExperience in the space. We let the failures guide us, and we start to provoke them in playful ways. We begin to consider our a/r/tography practice as transmaterialTransmaterial walking and our collaboration as an assemblageAssemblage, a conceptConcept informed by DeleuzeDeleuze, Gilles and GuattariGuattari, Félix. By playing with failures and unexpectedness, the failure is no longer a judgmental term but an opening to new understandings and art makingArt-based methodart-making.
