Structure and Dielectric Property of Polymers
摘要
The study of electric property is indispensable to reveal the different side of intrinsic characters of polymer substance. Depending on the polarity of chains and their aggregation state, the electric behaviors under the applied electric field are changed more or less. The basics are learned about the dielectric and ferroelectric properties from the microscopic point of view. In particular, the various kinds of experiments and theories are introduced to describe the details of the structural changes in the ferroelectric phase transitions of polar substances including polymers. Another important property is piezoelectricity, as represented by poly(vinylidene fluoride). The atomistic interpretation of piezoelectric property is learned from the experimental and theoretical points of view.
