Future Trends in Maxillofacial Prosthetic Rehabilitation in Oncology

Prosthetic rehabilitation is a vital end point in the management of maxillofacial defects with varying degree of aesthetic and functional deficits. Various clinical and technical procedures are implemented to attain optimum outcomes. Impression-making followed by diagnostic models that precisely depict the defect; fabrication and delivery of the prosthesis followed by subjective assessment, are the steps involved in the conventional protocol. These procedures are however lengthy and time consuming.
