Osteoradionecrosis (ORN) of Jaws

In recent years, advances in radiotherapy have helped to achieve better loco-regional disease control and higher survival rates. Mode of delivery of radiotherapy has also improved with the advent of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), which targets the tumor primarily and partially spares the surrounding healthy tissues. Nevertheless, acute and late adverse events of radiotherapy continue to be an important concern in head and neck cancer treatment.
