Walchandnagar Industries Ltd. (WIL) was founded in 1908 and has been a significant Indian engineering company throughout the platinum years. Founded as a sugarcane farming firm and later diversified into making sugar refined spirits, plastic goods, cement plants, paper and pulp plants, and water tubes has risen to the challenge of projects in nuclear power, aerospace, missile defense, oil and gas and steam generation plants, among others, on the basis of its strong engineering, project management and manufacturing infrastructure.
