摘要
Since its early history of study dating back to the thirteenth century in China, with the development of different techniques, the study of forensic flies has developed. There are several domains in which forensic entomology finds importance. In this chapter, we highlight the different areas of research focused on fly age and life cycle and cuticular hydrocarbons (CHCs) and other biochemical methods in the taxonomy and study of forensic flies. DNA based methods finds importance in the study of forensic flies. We also discuss the importance of artificial intelligence in the study of forensic flies.
