Synthesization of Mn4Si7 by High-Energy Ball Milling Technique

摘要

Mn4Si7 is earth-abundant, environment friendly, non-toxic cost-effective material, non-degenerating semiconductor material having many applications such as thermoelectric, lithium-ion batteries, electrical, optical, and photoelectrical. Mn4Si7 was synthesized by high-energy ball milling which is scalable and eco-friendly process. The Mn4Si7 tetragonal phase was obtained at 600 RPM for 50H which was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). From the XRD spectrum, the average crystallite size was estimated ~ 19 nm. Subsequently, non-uniform different shape was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
