Effect of Zinc Doping on the Structural, Dielectric and Electrical Properties of the Modified Bismuth Sodium Strontium Titanate

The structural identification of the lead free Bi0.35Na0.27Sr0.3Zn0.08TiO3 electro-ceramic along with its dielectric and electrical characterization is reported. The solid solution was synthesized using carbonates and oxides via a solid-state mixed oxide technique at 1000 °C for 12 h. The hexagonal perovskite phase formation was confirmed from XRD investigation. Crystal parameters are estimated from the Rietveld refinement. Dielectric measurements as a function of temperature at different frequencies were carried out and confirm the diffuse nature of phase transition. Activation energy for ionic conductivity is also estimated.
