Odontogenic Tumours
摘要
Odontogenic tumours (OT) are a heterogeneous group of lesions of diverse clinical behaviour and histopathologic types, ranging from hamartomatous lesions to malignancy. They are classified according to the tissues from which the tooth develops, namely ectomesenchyme and epithelial. Broadly, they are classified into benign and malignant tumours. The majority of benign odontogenic tumours appear de novo, whereas the malignant odontogenic tumours more often arise from their benign precursor. In this chapter, we discuss the pathology of odontogenic tumours relative to the latest updates in 2017 along with clinical and radiological findings.
