Reflection on the Book Contents
摘要
This book reflects how transformational systems sciences can intersect to provide insights into how human interprofessional collaboration and/or man–machine collaboration can be applied to address key issues both present and emerging in health care. Chapter authors considered these intersections and provided the reader with interesting perspectives on studies or literature reviews related to topics associated with such transformations in healthcare. We were introduced to several innovations to address real-world challenges faced by health professionals and clients who are the recipients of that care. In some chapters, the use of technology in their work was foundational to what was accomplished without its actual identification. All the chapters provide solutions to gaps that were identified by the authors. Some were pushing our thinking to the application of robots or cautioning us about the limitations in the capacities of our clients to be able to use the benefits the digital age can bring. Other authors presented the dangers from cyberattacks on our increasing clouds of data that are the reality of healthcare today. This book is not intended to provide solutions to transformational health systems but to stimulate more thinking about how to embrace the digital age to find innovative means to enhance care of clients and populations through its use.
