摘要

India, a developing country, has potential resources that can be utilized for a better outcome to impact global health. India has emerged as the worldwide leader in providing eye care at the lowest possible cost. Innovative ideas, low-cost drugs, and optimized, processed, and low-cost health-care infrastructure models work wonders in the economic realities of a developing country. By implementing innovative low-cost models, developing and low-income countries have the potential to bypass many of the health-care issues that developed countries are dealing with. India has numerous innovative and successful models and strategies for providing effective eye care. This chapter highlights the resources required to extend the productivity of eye health globally and how the resources and practices in India can impact it.
