Boosting

This chapter first introduces the idea of the boosting method and the representative boosting algorithm AdaBoost, then discusses why AdaBoost can improve learning accuracy through training error analysis, then interprets AdaBoost from the perspective of the forward stepwise addition model, and finally describes more specific examples of the lifting method—Boosting tree.
