Psychology and Its Implications on Tourism Sector with Reference to Tea Model

Attitude and approach play major role in any individual’s life. Our attitude is shaped by the way our SELF is being developed and evolved. This has a major impact on the decision-making abilities of any individual. Psychology has a major role to play in the tourism sector, as it helps in shaping the creative and critical thinking processes of the individual. This thinking process directly and indirectly affects the decision, which we are taking in our life. The prime focus of this paper is to draw a connection between psychology and the decision-making abilities of the customer. The aim of this paper is to describe the importance and application of psychology know-how in tourism practice. Primarily, it is the understanding of clients’ motivation to visit particular destinations and use available services, clients’ need, and satisfaction. The paper will also analyze these points on the basis of TEA model, that is, Thoughts, Emotions and Actions. Our thoughts help us in the generation of emotions, which eventually affect our actions. The mindset, the attitude, and the approach of the customers or clients determine or influence their decision-making ability. The aftereffects of their selection of tourism destinations and the kind of services they want to opt for. The paper presents an overview of the relationship between thoughts and actions in tourism field, which is the aim of this paper.
