A voltage regulator is a system designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage despite of disturbances like input voltage changes or output load changes. This chapter studies the series and parallel voltage regulators. You will learn how to measure the output voltage ripple and how to draw the transfer characteristic for a given regulator.
