摘要

It is not an easy task to write about culture in an academic way. While it is not a trivial affair to write a compelling and meaningful text about cultural topics, the various “rules” of academic writing restrain the generation of meaning in texts further, especially if one is a novice academic writer. On the other hand, “creativity” in writing means to look in an open-minded way at new topics. Under ideal circumstances, it is possible to realize a creative writing project at a university. Noteworthy in this epistemic/creative writing project is its transcultural character, relating to a feature, which often goes unnoticed in academic writing: cultural issues related to the language itself.
