Gould’s System for Analyzing Kinship Terminologies: An Application
摘要
First, this chapter very briefly notes the areas in which Professor Sharifian’s interests intersected with my own. Then, in recognition of Professor Sharifian’s agenda the chapter offers, from this author’s own work, a clear empirical example of a collective system of distributed cognition in natural language. The example is relevant both to pragmatics and to the anthropological side of cultural linguistics.
