Recent Advances of Iron Oxide Nanoparticles-Based Nanomedicine for Prostate Cancer (Review)
摘要
Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the commonly diagnosed cancers among men in the world. Clinical outcomes are excellent for patients with localized disease; however, patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) have poor prognosis. Despite recent advances in treatments of mCRPC, it is still necessary for patients with mCRPC to provide new therapeutic opportunities and improve conventional therapeutics. Nanotechnologies have provided the opportunities to overcome various problems in the cancer applications such as detection and treatment. Among nanotechnologies, nanomaterials such as nanoparticles have been evolved for developing cancer diagnostic, therapeutic, and theranostic tools. Herein, we focus on iron oxide nanoparticles-based nanomedicine for prostate cancer.
