摘要

This chapter provides an overview of the discipline of oncological hematopathology, keeping abreast with the rapid and complex changes in genomic medicine, as exemplified by the molecular pathology of hematological malignancies. This chapter provides an integrated framework encompassing immunophenotypic and molecular diagnosis and the new World Health Organization (WHO) classification with a focus on molecular pathology. The elements and organization of a hematopathology laboratory and sample collection are also described.
