Uterine Cancer
摘要
Endometrial cancer (EC) is increasingly on the rise and a cause of concern in both developed and developing world. Majority of endometrial cancers are diagnosed early with good prognosis. Most common symptoms of endometrial cancer are abnormal uterine bleeding and postmenopausal bleeding. Comprehensive surgical staging for endometrial cancer includes peritoneal cytology, total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingooophorectomy with pelvic/paraaortic lymph node dissection. Risk groups have been divided based on clinicopathological prognostic factors (including molecular information) to identify patients who would benefit from adjuvant therapy. Adjuvant therapy includes combination of or external beam radiotherapy or vaginal brachytherapy alone, chemotherapy or concomitant chemoradiation based on risk groups. This chapter endeavors to outline the current standard recommendations for management of endometrial cancers.
