摘要

Penile cancer (PeCa) is more associated with poor hygiene and poor socioeconomic status, thereby less prevalent in developed world. There are known PeCa risk factors and premalignant conditions, which can be identified. Delay in seeking medical attention leads to disease progression. In early stages, penile-preserving strategies have been successful with good prognosis. In later stages, adequate evaluation and treatment of primary with amputative surgeries as well as addressing the groins are necessary, but prognosis is variable and guarded. Survival is poor in stage 4 disease in spite of multipronged therapy. Of importance is a stringent follow-up by patients, as any recurrence can be dealt with.
