Simulation Analysis of Building Structure Under Combined Action of Earthquake and Explosion

High density of people and buildings also brings numerous safety risks to cities, such as the explosion of underground natural gas pipelines, indoor natural gas pipelines of residents and factories with inflammable and explosive chemicals. There are usually corresponding preventive measures for accidental explosion in these hazardous areas. However, when natural disasters such as earthquakes occur, the risks of explosion are highly increased, and the occurrence of double disasters will undoubtedly bring more serious consequences. In order to investigate the structure performance under both the earthquake and explosion, finite element model of the infilled frame structure is established. The time-history analysis of the elastic–plastic for the structure under the earthquake is calculated. The end states of the structure under earthquake action is set as the initial states of explosion simulation. Then, the explosion simulations of the explosive are carried out. The building collapse mechanism affected by seismic and explosive is investigated.
