Disaster Relief Donation Matching System and Users’ Incentives
摘要
After a large-scale natural disaster, the material convergence problem occurs in the affected area. Its two primary causes are the lack of an effective information-sharing mechanism and an efficient matching mechanism between disaster survivors’ needs and available supplies. The authors developed a disaster relief donation matching system to address this problem. There is a risk of many potential donors not using the system and trying to make direct contact with disaster victims to offer in-kind donations. In this study, we analyze the incentives of potential donors to access and utilize the matching system through an economic experiment.
