Development History of IC Production Lines
摘要
This chapter overviews the development of IC production lines worldwide and specifically the establishment of IC manufactures in mainland China. It started with a few state-owned factories of discrete products and some institutions of R&D and then gradually developed with the mass production capabilities by both international-invested and domestic companies. Some of them are already among the largest and most advanced IC factories in the world. Regarding the technology nodes, as of 2020, there are two companies in China continuously investing on the IC fabrication services at 14 nm technology node.
