摘要

There is a possibility that barcoding and automation will have an impact on the efficiency of the operational processes. According to empirical studies, the decisions regarding automation and barcoding made by a company have the best chance of being successful when they are tied to the company's operational strategies and the performance of its operations. Within the larger body of work that is collectively referred to as operational strategy, it has been suggested that automation ought to be regarded as its own separate set of decisions. Even results show that barcoding and automation in the pharmaceutical industry have no positive effect on operational performance. This is demonstrated by the fact that even results are published.
