The Ethics and Aesthetics of Eco-Caring: Contemporary Debate on Kazuo Ishiguro’s Klara and the Sun

The world is perceived through the eyes of a high-tech artificial friend in Kazuo Ishiguro's novel Klara and the Sun (2021), who learns about the Sun's supernatural traits and fights the pollution brought on by modern technology. When Josie was fourteen and half years old, Klara enters into his life and stays with him till Josie no longer required by her. Klara also discovers that Josie's sister died as a result of genetic enhancement, and he too now follows in her footsteps. She devotes herself to rescuing her companion from oblivion. What was once considered a hopeless case miraculously recovers. Thanks to Klara's faith, hope, and conviction in the healing touch of the Sun. One compares the humanoid with the humans as one feels that the artificial friend is more eco-friendly when compared to the humans.
