Philosophy of Mind in the Writings of Sudha Murthy

This paper attempts to bring out the philosophical thoughts and lifestyle of Sudha Murthy. Her great conviction in education and humility, two qualities that aid a man in growing in life, has always led her to have a life philosophy that does not place emphasis on materialistic ideas and goods. She preferred to wear a basic traditional Indian style and always placed an emphasis on reading and studying rather than chasing after worldly cravings for luxury clothing and pricey beauty treatments. She revealed why: “I was in Kashi to take the holy dip, and when you go to Kashi you have to give up something that you enjoy the most. I gave up shopping, particularly sarees, from then. I now only buy essential items.” Sudha Murthy's ideals are an excellent example for us to follow. For the sake of your family and your husband’s goals, you must have the fortitude to live a life full of risks and sacrifices. Though she did so without considering the repercussions, she selected a novel course.
