In the twenty-first century’s highly competitive global business environment, companies work hard to improve their business performance and competitive advantage. Companies must cut costs and implement smart business strategies to make efficient and effective decisions. Information technology is changing business practises and decision-making processes in the modern world. Organisations need DSS and BI tools to turn massive amounts of data into actionable business insights. This is because organisations collect more data. This chapter introduces business intelligence (BI), its history, benefits, significance, and impact on business decision-making and competitive advantage. This study conducts a comprehensive literature review to determine BI implementation factors. This study aimed to determine how his BI tools affect IT companies’ decision quality and performance management. This is preceded by qualitative interviews with managers and BI users (BI). These interviews aim to gain practical insight into BI dashboard design and best practises. This study is statistical. These interviews helped us identify key survey variables. Quantitative studies used these questionnaires to better understand decision quality and business growth. The survey includes 250 decision-makers who use business intelligence tools. This study polled IT professionals in Hyderabad using online survey tools and other methods. IBM SPSS and Microsoft Excel were used for data analysis, but AMOS-SEM for testing hypotheses, evaluating measurements, and building structural models. BI could help society create more jobs in future. The research explains how the underlying factors contribute to business intelligence value creation. Research enables this.
