Design and Analysis of Six-Phase Induction Motor Using Wind Driven Optimization
摘要
This paper presents wind driven optimization (WDO)–based design of six-phase induction motor (SPIM) and is compared with traditionally designed Induction Moters (IMs) of the same rating. A multi-objective function is well thought-out for the design optimization of SPIM. It has been observed that the WDO-based optimal design results in better performance compared to the traditional design motor. Also, the finite element analyses (FEA) of SPIM design is presented in this paper to come across the best economical resolution for a specific application based on the motor performance. Further, the quality parameters obtained from the proposed design are compared with the traditionally designed motor to verify the correctness of the design.
