Novel-Enhanced Alternative Assistive System for Physically Challenged People Survival

Currently nearly 15% of the world population are physically disabled based on WHO report. Physical disabilities include visually impaired, hearing impaired, physically disabled, silent, etc. More than 3 billion people around the world have visual problems, and these numbers are increasing year by year. People who are physically challenged have to depend on others to do their basic activities in their day-to-day life. There are many organizations working for an efficient solution to make the physically disabled as independent. The physically disabled people are living independent life with the help of smart vision. The current devices available in the market are not using cutting-edge technology and are too costly and these are available in developed countries only. The proposed work aims to provide the best quality of independent life to the visually impaired deaf and mute people to remove the discrimination faced by them in the society with the interface of any electronic gadget with the camera, Lidar and other tools as a voice-activated wearable smart assistive glasses. Proposed device will collect every visual detail in front of the blind into audio information. It makes access to every visual information/detail into speech output with the visual recognition features of facial recognition, object detection, obstacle detection, colors detection, currency detection, text to voice conversion and voice to text conversion. Thus, making them to really understand and act accordingly without depending on others even for basic works with the help of voice-to-voice control.
