Numerical Modeling of Turbulent Natural Ventilation Inside a Microclimate of a Solar Greenhouse

This study aimed to model numerically the turbulent natural ventilation of the microclimate of the solar greenhouse. The distribution of temperature and velocity of air inside the greenhouse solar was numerically investigated using the 2D Ansys Fluent code. The turbulence k-ε model is used to model the airflow in turbulent natural convection. The effect of the temperature difference on the velocity and temperature field was investigated. The results indicate that natural ventilation is able to control passively the climate in the solar greenhouse.
