Preliminary Approach of the Structural Design of Wind Blade

摘要

The wind blade is an important element in the chain of wind energy conversion. It is the first response to the wind turbine's global efficiency. This work contributes to determining the structure behavior under high wind speed that aims to define the optimal blade structure. Where the wind turbine studied model is 5 m of blade length manufactured by Epoxy Glass fiber composite material. The case of working under 18 m/s of wind speed is taken as a critical case. The analysis is done by using Qblade software. the results. The blade designs proposed with different spar and shell thicknesses. The analysis results show that the model with a spar of 10% of each chord section is the best structure configuration. It has a lower weight and works under constraint low than the shear value.
