WBG Devices Efficiency and Application in PV System-Based Neural Network MPPT Controller
摘要
Because of their low noise levels and low lifetime costs, photovoltaic (PV) systems are increasingly being installed in private homes. Both off-grid and grid-connected PV systems use buck or boost converters. Poor efficiency and low power density, as well as the use of Si power components, hampered the effectiveness of these converters. The theoretical performance limitations of conventional Si-based devices are being approached, making it difficult to enhance their performance and efficiency. The most developed and easily available WBG semiconductors are power devices made from GaN and SiC. Because of their robustness against heat and switching frequencies, active and passive components may be made more straightforward. In this research, high-efficiency DC–DC boost converters are built for use in PV systems that use wind and wave energy converters.
