摘要

The electroactivity of Kurthia sp. strain isolated from an electroactive biofilm was demonstrated using electrochemical methods: Imposed Potential Chronoamperometry + 0.155 V/SCE and a characteristic cyclic voltammetry at 10 mV/S. Positive current responses were revealed and a maximum current density of 50 µA/cm2 was recorded. The experiments were carried out using a three-electrode electrochemical setup, fed with acetate as the only carbon source, without external mediator addition. The different phases noted during the electrochemical kinetics, corresponded closely to the conventional stages of biofilm formation. The electrochemical kinetic were representative of Kurthia sp. biofilm evolution on the working electrode surface.
