Toward a Numerical Modeling of Aeroacoustics Noise Induced by Wind Turbine Farm Using Linearized Euler Equations

This paper presents a hybrid method based on the combination of CFD computations and an in-house aeroacoustic code developed for wind turbine noise predictions. The suggested method exploits the transient velocity and pressure fields, obtained from CFD-based Actuator Disk Method computations using OpenFOAM, as source term in the in-house computational Aeroacoustics (CAA) code to resolve the linearized Euler equations. The main purpose of this work consists of the proposition of a new hybrid method allowing the investigation of the aeroacoustic noise of both single and wind farms HAWT rotors.
