摘要

In this article, the use of wind energy to power a small isolated dwelling located in the region of Tébessa (Algeria) is studied. First, considering three-years wind data from the CHEIKH LARBI TEBESSI weather station of the National Meteorological Office (ONM), the wind potential available at the study area is assessed using the OWC utility of the wind Atlas analysis and application program (WAsP software). Then, the expected energy produced by two small wind turbines is computed. Thereafter, the capacity of a storage system is evaluated to ensure the autonomous power supply of the dwelling. The obtained results show that the expected wind turbine performances are significant. The exploitation of wind energy in the Tébessa region can therefore be considered.
