摘要

With the help of RFID or GPS tags, it’s possible to locate products wherever they are. The majority of data in a wireless setting is transmitted by computationally constrained devices, putting it at risk of being altered by malicious attackers who could also disrupt the communication link, so these wireless communications require secure communication channels or methods to authenticate the communication. The study presents an easy-to-implement new RFID authentication system based on elliptical curves and presents how the concept of cryptography can be used in RFID to improve the authentication. We analyze the security of the proposed protocol against Availability, Mutual Authentication, Anonymity, Cloning Attack, and Impersonation Attack and show that our scheme can withstand these attacks. We also compare it with the similar existing protocols in terms of the total computational required for the implementation and present the application of RFID in e-passports along with the security issues and suggested improvements.
