A Novel Approach For Secure Data Aggregation Scheme in Battlefield Surveillance Using Elliptic Curve Cryptography
摘要
In the applications of the sensor network, security still poses significant concerns. Over the years, numerous cryptographic and non-cryptographic approaches have been developed to address the security issue. However, a lot of these techniques fall short and can’t be applied in practical situations. Many of these approaches have issues such as poor network lifetimes, improper key management, and significant computational and communication overheads. Such techniques should not be used since WSNs are made up of tiny sensor nodes with very poor computing capacity and battery life. In this study, we propose our novel approach for robust data aggregation. In order to ensure the integrity and authenticity of the data, we have presented a novel cluster head selection methodology that uses an encryption method based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and hash-based message authentication (HMAC) scheme. The power analysis of the proposed scheme shows that it increased network lifetime up to 12% while compared with AES. The security analysis of the proposed scheme shows that this approach can resist various attacks such as replay attacks and cipher text attacks.
