摘要

The fauna of the family Rhyparochromidae Amyot and Serville, 1843 in the Middle East comprises 277 species and subspecies in 90 genera. Also, Iranian Rhyparochromidae includes 153 species and subspecies in 58 genera, of which, Emblethis with 21 recorded species is more diverse than the other genera. Additionally, the fauna of Iran is the most diverse among the Middle Eastern countries, followed by Turkey (150 species), Israel (87 species), Yemen (74 species), Cyprus (58 species), Iraq (48 species), Syria (46 species), Egypt (40 species), Jordan (34 species), Saudi Arabia (29 species), Lebanon (22 species), United Arab Emirates (12 species), Kuwait (five species), and Bahrain (one species).
