Gastrointestinal Injuries in Gynaecological Surgeries
摘要
Although uncommon gastrointestinal injuries are the serious most complication during surgery. The average incidence of these injuries is around 0.1–1%. Unless the injury is due to dense adhesion or as a complication of disease process; most of the inadvertent injuries can be prevented by meticulous dissection and cautious use of thermal instruments. These injuries even if diagnosed intra operatively increase the morbidity of the patient.
