Prevention and Management of Intraoperative Urological Injuries
摘要
The incidence of Intraoperative injury to genitourinary tract during gynaecological surgeries is around 1–2%.Due to anatomical proximity any pathology in the pelvis can distort the usual anatomy of genitourinary system there by making it more prone to injuries. Bladder injuries are more common than ureteric injuries. If diagnosed intra operatively, these injuries have better prognosis without affecting the morbidity of the patient. Precise anatomical knowledge and gentle tissue dissection is the keystone for prevention of such injuries.
