摘要

There is a progressive decrease in the mortality associated with pancreatic resections, however the morbidity still remains high. Post pancreatectomy haemorrhage is a major complication occurring in 6–10% patients. ISGPS classified PPH into early and late(< or >24 h), intra and extraluminal, mild and severe. Early PPH is usually associated with technical failures. Surgery remains the mainstay of the management of severe ePPH but endoscopic and interventional radiological techniques also have a role. Proper surgical technique, high index of suspicion for the complication and aggressive management may lead to a decrease in the incidence and clinical effect of the problem.
