TACE and TARE Associated Complications in Liver Tumours
摘要
Trans arterial Chemo embolization (TACE) and Trans arterial Radioembolization (TARE) form the cornerstone of treatment for inoperable primary and secondary hepatic tumors. Both these procedures are relatively safe and increasingly being used in many centers worldwide, still like any interventional procedures they are associated with side effects. Some of these side effects may be life threatening and require care in specialist centers. This chapter describes the common complications seen with both the procedures, their prevention and management.
