Prevention and Management of Complications of Surgery for Brain Tumour

Neurosurgical procedures bear the risk of an array of complications that can be related to many factors which can be patient specific, tumour specific and procedure specific. The choice of procedure is dependent on the location of the tumour and the skill of the operating surgeon. Patient selection and appropriate approach which involves patient selection, patient positioning and usage of neuronavigation can reduce the risks of developing complications.
